Greg Nelson is a prominent figure in the martial arts community, particularly known for his role as the head coach at The Academy, a martial arts training center in Minnesota.

He has a rich background in various combat sports and martial arts disciplines, with notable achievements and credentials: Extensive Martial Arts Background: Nelson began his formal martial arts training in 1984 and has since acquired a wealth of knowledge and expertise in multiple disciplines. Distinguished Credentials: He holds a 5th Degree Black Belt in Pedro Sauer Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, a senior instructor in Muay Thai under Grand Master Surachai “Chai” Sirisute, Full Instructor credentials in Jun Fan Martial Arts/Jeet Kune Do Concepts, Filipino Kali, and Level III Instructorship in Maphilindo Silat under Guru Dan Inosanto, as well as being an Advanced Student in Shooto Wrestling under Sensei Yurinaga Nakamura and a certified Full Instructor in Combat Submission Wrestling (CSW) under Erik Paulson.

MMA Coaching: Nelson has coached four UFC Champions and has been involved in MMA since its inception. Military and Law Enforcement Training: He has developed training programs for law enforcement and military personnel, including the FBI, DEA, and Federal Air Marshals, and works extensively with various branches of the U.S. military.
