Abdulla Dayakaev is on the brink of something monumental as he gears up for an electrifying showdown against Thailand’s Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon at ONE Fight Night 37 this Friday! The Dagestani dynamo has been tearing through the bantamweight Muay Thai ranks, and now he's poised for a shot at the title. His mission? To win with flair and set his sights on Jonathan Haggerty! Riding a wave of unstoppable momentum, the 23-year-old has obliterated his last four opponents, including a jaw-dropping 24-second knockout of Nontachai Jitmuangnon.

Dayakaev's strategy is all about relentless pressure, aggression, and those devastating punches that leave opponents reeling before they even know what hit them. “I need to kill my opponent and finish,” he declared with fiery determination. “My strategy is always push, press him and catch him or put him to sleep.” On the other side of the ring, Rambolek is one of Thailand’s most thrilling young prospects. At just 22, he trains at the renowned Superbon Training Camp and boasts a four-fight winning streak, with spectacular finishes over Dmitrii Kovtun and Parham Gheirati. With his technical prowess, calm demeanor, and deadly timing, the Thai sensation brings a wealth of experience and precision to this epic clash. Yet, Dayakaev is unfazed, claiming Rambolek has “never fought a fighter like me … my power is different.”

This showdown comes at a pivotal moment in the division. Bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nabil Anane, Dayakaev’s teammate at Venum in Thailand, was set to defend his title against former champion Jonathan Haggerty at ONE 173. But with Haggerty sidelined by injury, Anane is moving up to featherweight kickboxing, leaving a golden opportunity for someone to step up—and Dayakaev is ready to seize it! “It is good for me,” he said, eyes gleaming with ambition. “I cannot fight Nabil. Now I want Haggerty.” While Dayakaev remains laser-focused on Rambolek, his sights are clearly set on the ultimate prize. Haggerty is a titan in the sport, and the Dagestani contender is eager to face that challenge once he takes care of business this week!

Get ready for an electrifying showdown! Thai sensation Numsurin Chor Ketwina has been unstoppable in the ONE Championship arena, and now he's on the brink of the most monumental fight of his life! Mark your calendars for Sunday, November 16, as the TDed99 prodigy faces off against Japan’s Nadaka for the inaugural ONE Atomweight Muay Thai World Title at ONE 173: Superbon vs. Noiri, set in the iconic Ariake Arena in Tokyo.

Numsurin has been quietly but fiercely climbing the ranks, boasting an impeccable record in the thrilling ONE Friday Fights series. With six consecutive victories in the world’s premier martial arts organization, he’s dazzled fans with his razor-sharp boxing, unshakeable composure, and strategic genius. His latest conquest was against Songchainoi Kiatsongrit at ONE Friday Fights 122, where he floored the star in round two, snapping his nine-fight winning streak. That spectacular win secured Numsurin a US$100,000 main-roster contract, catapulting him toward this career-defining moment at ONE 173!

This New Muay Thai System Changes Everything!

The World Boxing Council  has announced the participation of several Muay Thai stars as special guests at its 2025 Annual Convention, to be held in Bangkok from November 30 to December 5.

The convention will take place at the prestigious Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park in Bangkok, and this year’s edition will be historic — for the first time ever, the WBC will officially integrate its Muay Thai branch into the main event, uniting both worlds of combat under one roof.

The fifth edition’s agenda will include seminars, networking sessions, an awards ceremony, and a gala night. Attendees will not only hear firsthand from athletes like Brandon Adams but also take part in discussions about the future of boxing and the safety of the sport.

Get ready for an electrifying showdown! The TBA was one of the nine associations that lit up Thursday’s press briefing, showcasing their fiery readiness and sky-high medal ambitions for the region’s biennial multi-sport extravaganza, set to dazzle from December 9–20 in Bangkok, Chon Buri, and Songkhla. Boxing has always been a powerhouse for Thailand, and this year, the TBA is gunning for a whopping nine gold medals from their 17 fierce fighters! “

Our SEA Games boxers are in peak form, and we’re aiming to snag no fewer than nine titles, matching our triumph in Cambodia,” declared Pol Lt Gen Chaiwat Chotima, TBA’s vice president and secretary general. “Our main challengers are the Philippines, Indonesia, and Vietnam, but with the home crowd’s roaring support, we’re unstoppable!” Meanwhile, with petanque making a thrilling comeback to the SEA Games, Gen Mangorn Kosinraseni, chairman of the sport’s normalization committee, confidently announced the national team’s goal of four gold medals. “Despite the absence of a formal governing body, our athletes are fired up to shine at the home Games,” Gen Mangorn stated. “With 11 petanque events and a transparent selection process, our team, featuring former world champions, is set to clinch at least four golds.”

After sitting out the last Games in Cambodia due to a naming dispute, the Amateur Muaythai Association of Thailand is back with a vengeance, eyeing 10 gold medals! “Our Muay Thai warriors are pumped and ready to bring home the gold. With world and continental champions in our ranks, we’re set to make waves,” said Group Captain Boonsong Nuanyong, the national Muay Thai team manager.

“Out of 18 categories, we’re targeting 10 golds — seven from the men’s events and three from the women’s.” In other thrilling disciplines, the Ju-Jitsu Association is aiming for 10 golds, while the Wushu Association is targeting two titles. Among the four demonstration sports, aeronautic sports are soaring for two golds, while mixed martial arts and flying disc are each eyeing one gold. The tug of war team is ready to pull off their best performance yet. With these exhilarating predictions, Thailand’s medal tally is expected to hit a staggering 164 gold medals across 38 sports associations at the Games!
