A crucial featherweight Muay Thai showdown is on the horizon, featuring the decorated Thai legend Sitthichai “Killer Kid” Sitsongpeenong going head-to-head with the formidable Scottish knockout artist Nico “King of the North” Carrillo. This highly anticipated clash is officially scheduled to take place during U.S. primetime on April 4, as part of the thrilling lineup for ONE Fight Night 30: Kryklia vs. Knowles, which will be broadcast on Prime Video. The electrifying matchup is set to unfold at the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, a venue steeped in history and tradition, renowned for hosting some of the most memorable bouts in Muay Thai history.

Lumpinee Stadium is not just a venue; it is a sacred ground for Muay Thai enthusiasts, where the echoes of past legendary fights still resonate within its walls. Fighters who step into this ring are aware that they are not just competing for victory but also for the honor of being part of a legacy that has been built over decades. The stadium has witnessed the rise of numerous champions and has been the stage for countless epic battles that have captivated audiences worldwide.

When you think about the origins of fighters, it becomes evident that they rarely emerge from a life of comfort and ease. Instead, they often rise from circumstances filled with hardship, desperation, and necessity. These challenging conditions forge their character and determination, propelling them to achieve greatness in the world of combat sports. A prime example of this truth is the story of former ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon. Known as “The Iron Man,” Rodtang’s journey from humble beginnings to the pinnacle of Muay Thai is nothing short of inspiring.

Rodtang is set to face Japanese kickboxing megastar Takeru Segawa at ONE 172 in a highly anticipated five-round flyweight kickboxing super-fight. This thrilling event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, March 23, inside the iconic Saitama Super Arena in Japan.

Every time 9-year-old Ava Cano takes the ring to compete in a Muay Thai fight, it’s because she wants to be there and she’s earned the right to be there.

“I want to become a champion someday. Just the thought of someday being a champion kind of motivates me," she said.

Having started in the sport at the age of four-and-a-half, her father, Mark Cano, got her into the Paragon Brazilian Jiu Jitsu & Elite Muay Thai Academy at the San Luis Obispo location as a way for her to learn self-defense and it quickly became something more.

“She always loved the sound of the pads," Mark Cano said. “She just started going at it. She loved it. She absolutely enjoyed it.”

“I don't really accept students any younger than five-and-a-half, but she kept showing up, and I go, okay, I'll give you a little chance," owner and trainer of Elite Muay Thai Academy Albert Matalamban recalled.

Now as a 9-year-old, she’s won more than 10 competitions fighting all across the state and the country, most recently earning a spot on the U.S. Muay Thai National Team.

Standing at an impressive six feet tall, Lyndon Knowles is a striking figure with his vibrant pink mohawk, a matching bowler hat perched jauntily atop his head, and a moustache that looks like it was plucked straight from the set of the classic Western film, Tombstone. His unique and flamboyant appearance makes him hard to miss in any crowd. However, it won't be long before it's not just his eye-catching style that captures attention. The accomplished WBC Muay Thai heavyweight champion is gearing up for a significant challenge as he prepares to face off against Roman Kryklia for the prestigious ONE Championship heavyweight title. This highly anticipated bout is scheduled to take place at ONE Fight Night 30, which will be held in the vibrant city of Bangkok on April 5.

Expressing his excitement and readiness for the upcoming fight, Knowles shared, "I’m over the moon. Thanks to ONE Championship, I’m ready to put on a show." His enthusiasm is palpable as he looks forward to showcasing his skills on such a prominent stage.
