Fourth-ranked bantamweight contender Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon is gearing up for a highly anticipated showdown against Russian striker Dmitrii "The Silent Assassin" Kovtun in what promises to be a thrilling Muay Thai battle. This high-stakes encounter is set to take place at ONE Fight Night 32 on 6 June, hosted at the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, a venue steeped in martial arts history and known for its electrifying atmosphere.
Rambolek, the Thai sensation, enters this contest with a wave of momentum, having secured a remarkable three-fight winning streak. His most recent triumph was a spectacular stoppage victory over Parham Gheirati at ONE Fight Night 29 in March, a performance that showcased his striking prowess and tactical acumen. With confidence running high, Rambolek has dedicated himself to meticulously analyzing his upcoming opponent, leaving no stone unturned in his preparation.

"Dmitrii Kovtun is a good fighter, no doubt. I never underestimate anyone. But I watched his fights and came up with a plan to deal with him in the ring," Rambolek stated, exuding a quiet confidence. Kovtun, known for his moniker as the "Thai Killer," has built a reputation by defeating prominent fighters such as Ferrari Fairtex and Suablack Tor Pran49. Despite Kovtun's impressive track record, Rambolek remains unfazed by the Russian's southpaw style, drawing confidence from his previous victory over the formidable Thai knockout artist Kulabdam.
"[Kovtun] seems to run out of steam towards the end and doesn't have a tight defence. He likes to wait and counter. His strength is his left hook, but I have no problem with his southpaw style. Don't forget I beat Kulabdam, and he's a southpaw, too," Rambolek remarked, highlighting his strategic insight and experience against similar fighting styles.
The tactically astute Rambolek has devised a game plan to exploit perceived weaknesses in Kovtun's defence. He intends to focus particularly on his kicking arsenal, a strategy aimed at capitalizing on Kovtun's vulnerabilities while remaining poised to deliver another highlight-reel finish. "For this fight, I'll probably focus more on the kicks because Dmitrii doesn't defend them too well.
